3rd Annual International Youth Conference on
"The Ecology of War and Peace"

Part of a 2007 series of international conferences
focusing on exploring and advancing
the consciousness of peace.

A Multicultural, Multidisciplinary Conference
sponsored by

Common Bond Institute (USA), HARMONY Institute (Russia),
the International Humanistic Psychology Association

in cooperation with
Jane Goodal Institite

Dates:  May 5-13, 2007    Site:  St. Petersburg, Russia
( Formal Conference Program: May 6-11 )

A parallel youth conference, held at the same time and location as the 15th Annual International Conference on Conflict Resolution, addressing issues of negative stereotypes, prejudice, demonizing, and dehumanizing "The Other."

The theme of ecology is used as a common link all parties can resonate and experience being "on the same side" with as they also delve into personal interactions and, as a community, explore these relationship dynamics.

Included in this process will be exploring the ecological impact of human wars.

The "Ecology of War and Peace" (EWP) Program is open to youth from any country between the ages 14-18, and their adult chaperones. Participants include youth representatives of communities in current or recent conflict.

A virtual Global Youth Community, operated for and by youth participants, is currently being developed through the CBI website to continue ongoing dialogue, support, cooperation, and joint projects beyond the conferences

The SEQUENCE OF CONFERENCES (including The 15th Annual International Conference on Conflict Resolution in St. Petersburg, Russia May 5-13, and the Annual International Conference on "Engaging The Other" in Kalamazoo, Michigan USA October 26-29, 2006) are programmatically linked and designed to build on the energy and products of each event to progressively deepen the dialogue and foster proactive networks of social activists and healers along the way.
