B-1 "Peace Education in Palestine" ( Discussion, Lecture ) A Lecture about Peace education in Palestine. There is argument about the Palestinian curriculum, and about the definition of peace education, is it a political or educational subject. Should we teach students about the political conflict between Palestine and Israel or about peace as a concept, a value, & a moral that we educate our children? Some is looking at our country only in a political direction, but we are looking to reflect the thinking of school home, at street, with our friends, with our enemies. I want to maximize the idea to show that the Palestinian is looking to live like the people in peace.

C-2 "The Attitudes of Palestinian Youths towards Peaceful Conflict Resolution" (Discussion, Lecture ) Research on attitudes of Palestinian Youths in the Gaza Strip Area towards two factors: 1- peaceful methods of conflict Resolution, and 2- Non-Peaceful methods of Conflict Resolution. Two groups of 50 youths were studied. The first group learned conflict resolution skills and the second group did not. In this study, descriptive methods (quantitative and qualitative methods) were used in examining the two groups. Results indicate differences in attitudes among youths related to different variables (age, residence, religion, and whether the group had learned conflict resolution skills. The results suggest Palestinian youths with experience and skills in conflict resolution were more likely to use peaceful techniques in resolving conflicts while those with no experience and skills were more likely to engage in non peaceful means. The researcher suggests training methods, techniques, and skills for the Palestinian youths in peaceful resolution will enable at least 50% of Palestinian population to use them in their daily disputes, especially when living in a region of extreme conflict (Palestinian Territories).
