and an outstanding, international pool of over 40 expert presenters and facilitators representing leading training institutes around the world for a unique, historical opportunity to be part of launching the first in an ongoing series of capacity building conferences making a difference in the Middle East - today.

4 days of engaged dialogue and applied training in proven, effective models and methods that are creative, innovative, inclusive, collaborative, practical, and culturally adaptive, intended to equip the current and next generation in building capacity for proactive citizen leadership, constructive relationships, and a culture of peace.

By design, and in cooperation with the reform agenda of the Jordanian government, the 1st Conference on Transforming Conflict (TC) is a practical conference, oriented toward direct engagement by all participants, with prepared presentations (workshops, topical panels, and keynotes) providing specific learning and stimulus for processing in facilitated dialogue groups woven throughout each day to develop productive ways for putting principles and skills into practice. Among planned outcomes are individual proficiency for increased civic participation in constructively addressing crucial challenges facing developing societies today, and the creation of a growing resource of training materials and network support provided to formal educational institutions for ongoing availability to an expanding number of individuals beyond the conferences.

Format and Content:
       Skills training workshops, Practical presentations, Topical roundtables,
       Daily facilitated dialogue groups, Keynote speakers,  Multi-cultural learning community,
        Live 2-way global links to other countries,  On-site blogging, Cultural events and performances,
       Rich networking and cooperation, Art exhibits   Displays.

In addition to on-site presenters, key individuals and groups from other countries will be Skyped into the conference for real-time, 2-way participation during plenary sessions.
